OPEN WATER DIVER PADI

The course Open Water Diver It is the first level of diving certification. As a highly trained PADI Instructor I will teach you to dive in a safe and relaxed learning environment. At the end of the course you will have the skills and knowledge to dive both in your country and abroad.

We offer a unique experience in all Búzios, we offer all our courses on board our floating diving school on the 1941 Spiaggia sailboat. The sailboat has all the infrastructure to have a personalized and unique course. We have a space specially designed for diving cylinders, we have a kitchen, bathroom and a classroom space with a television to take advantage of an exceptional environment for learning to dive. Both theoretical and practical classes will take place on the sailboat, unless weather conditions do not allow it.

It allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters.

1. Knowledge development

Theoretical classes can be developed in person with the physical manual on our Spiaggia sailboat or online through the PADI portal for independent study.

Classes are made up of five modules, each concluding with a knowledge review.

You will learn basic concepts of physics and physiology related to diving. They are simple concepts to be understood and at all times I will be accompanying you to answer any questions that may arise.

2. Session in confined waters

On the first day of practical training we will meet again on the sailboat and we will review the main topics that we will apply in our first practice.
Before going into the water I am going to introduce you to the diving equipment. You will learn how to assemble it and how to use each part.

Our practices in confined waters are carried out in a safe and controlled area on Joao Fernandes beach.
When it's time to hit the water, the fun begins. We are going to learn how to control buoyancy, how to ascend and descend, and how to deal with any situation related to diving safety, such as how to solve if a little water enters our mask.
It is not a requirement to do well from the beginning, the idea is that you can master all the skills in a calm and relaxed way, and practice as many times as necessary to meet the requirements naturally. I will always be accompanying and providing help to be able to do your course in a fun and safe way, at your own pace.

3. Four adventure dives at Joao Fernandes beach and Ilha da Ancora
On the second day of the course we are going to embark on our beautiful Spiagga sailboat where, after assembling our equipment, we are going to do two dives in another area of the Joao Fernandes coral park, to be able to practice without rushing. We are going to repeat all the exercises that we practiced in the confined water session. On the third and last day we will go on board two dives but this time to discover the wonders of Ilha da Ancora, we will practice the exercises that are necessary and we will also clearly dedicate time to diving!

ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER

During the Advanced Open Water Diver course we willperform five adventure dives. An adventure dive is a particular activity or skill within the scope of diving. We will do the dives from our incredible sailboat Spiaggia in the Joao Fernandes coral park or in Ilha da Ancora.

2-3 day course (customizable)

Deep diving, in which we are going to do a deeper dive, between 18 and 30 meters.
Underwater navigation, in which you are going to practice navigation skills and underwater compass while diving.
Search and Recovery, in which you will learn how to find and recover lost items underwater using underwater search paths and a lift balloon.
Buoyancy, in which we will improve the techniques you learned as a beginner diver to have excellent buoyancy control.
Night dive, in which we are going to dive at night with flashlights and see a totally different world.

The dives in the course are very different from your Open Water course. Adventure dives are similar to regular diving, except that we focus on a particular diving specialty.

After completing the course you will be able to dive until 40 meters deep.

RESCUE DIVER

The PADI Rescue Diver course is considered one of the most challenging courses and at the same time one of the most rewarding.
As a rescue diver you will learn to identify and fix minor problems before they become major problems not only yours but the other divers. CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months is required to take the course.

The course is planned to last between 4 to 7 days, but it is fully customizable according to the needs of each student.
